- Visit our website at https://dramavibe.com, or any website of ours that links to this privacy notice
- Download and use our mobile applications (the DramaVibe app for iOS and Android), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy notice

Questions or concerns? Reading this privacy notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us by email at support@dramavibe.com.
1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Usernames and display names
- Passwords (stored hashed; we never see your plaintext password)
- Profile preferences (favorite genres, language, notification settings)
Viewing and In-App Activity. DramaVibe is a serialized short-drama streaming service. To deliver the core experience — syncing your progress, recommending what to watch next, calculating reward coins, and operating billing — we collect detailed information about how you interact with the catalog and the player, including:
- Watch history, watch progress, completion status, and length of time spent watching each episode
- Clicks, taps, swipes, and refresh actions inside the app
- Series, episodes, and creators you favorite, follow, save to "My List," or rate
- Search terms and search history within the app
- Comments, reviews, ratings, and other contributions you submit
- Coin balance, coin top-ups (purchases), unlocks, and consumption history
- Daily check-in records and rewarded-ad watch records (used to calculate the bonus coins you earn)
- Push-notification activation and engagement records (used to measure delivery and to suppress notifications you've turned off)
- Subscription status (Plus weekly, Plus yearly, free)
- Interactions with rewarded ads (when you opt to watch them)
Personalized recommendations and automated profiling. We use the activity above — including your viewing history, saved content, search behavior, completion rates, and interactions — to model your preferences and surface series, episodes, and tags we think you'll enjoy. This includes algorithmic ranking, per-user interest tagging, and lookalike modeling. Recommendations are not used to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. You can disable personalized recommendations at any time from the in-app Settings; with personalization off, the app will fall back to non-personalized lists (popular, new, editor's picks).
Payment Data. We collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases. For in-app purchases on iOS, payment is processed by Apple (App Store / In-App Purchase). For in-app purchases on Android, payment is processed by Google (Google Play Billing). For purchases made on the web, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full payment card number; we receive only a tokenized reference, the amount, and basic transaction metadata. You may find the relevant privacy notices here:
- Apple — https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Google — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Stripe — https://stripe.com/privacy
Social Media Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Google or Apple account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect the information described in the section called "How do we handle your social logins?" below.
Application Data. If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:
- Mobile Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including storage (for offline downloads of episodes), and notifications. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.
- Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding new episodes, series you follow, daily free coins, and other features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.
This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, approximate location (derived from IP), information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies on our website, and through mobile device identifiers (IDFA on iOS and AAID on Android, where you have not limited ad tracking) in our apps.
The information we collect includes:
- Log and Usage Data. Service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, settings, and information about your activity in the Services (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, screens viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity and error reports, sometimes called "crash dumps"), and hardware settings.
- Device Data. Information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, approximate location, browser type, hardware model, internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.
- Approximate Location Data. We derive an approximate location from your IP address (typically at the country and region level) for content licensing, fraud prevention, and to surface region-appropriate content. We do not collect precise GPS location.
2. How do we process your information?
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts.
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user — including streaming episodes, syncing watch progress, processing coin purchases, and delivering subscription benefits.
- To provide personalized recommendations based on your viewing history, favorites, and stated preferences.
- To respond to user inquiries and offer support to users.
- To send administrative information to you — including details about our products and services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.
- To fulfill and manage your orders, including coin purchases, subscriptions, payments, and (where required by law) refunds.
- To request feedback on series, episodes, and your overall experience.
- To protect our Services — including fraud monitoring, abuse prevention, content licensing enforcement, and rate limiting.
- To send you marketing and promotional communications about new series, features, and offers, where you have not opted out.
- To save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
- To comply with legal obligations, including responses to lawful requests by public authorities.
3. What legal bases do we rely on to process your information?
If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:
- Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission (i.e., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when we believe it is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services or at your request prior to entering into a contract with you (for example, processing a coin purchase or subscription).
- Legitimate Interests. We may process your information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests and those interests do not outweigh your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, to diagnose problems and prevent fraudulent activities, to understand how users use our products and services so we can improve user experience, and to send you marketing communications about products similar to those you have used.
- Legal Obligations. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
- Vital Interests. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party, such as situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.
If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you.
We may process your information if you have given us specific permission (i.e., express consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose, or in situations where your permission can be inferred (i.e., implied consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
In some exceptional cases, we may be legally permitted under applicable law to process your information without your consent, including, for example, for investigations and fraud detection and prevention, business transactions provided certain conditions are met, or where disclosure is required to comply with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or rules of the court relating to the production of records.
4. When and with whom do we share your personal information?
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- Service Providers. We share information with vendors that help us run the Services, including cloud hosting (AWS, Cloudflare), content delivery (Cloudflare), analytics (e.g., PostHog, Google Analytics, app-store analytics), crash reporting (e.g., Sentry), customer support, email delivery, payment processing (Apple, Google, Stripe), and rewarded-ad networks (where you opt in to watch a rewarded ad). These vendors are bound by contractual confidentiality and data-processing obligations.
- Advertising Partners. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad to earn coins, the ad network (such as Google AdMob or Meta Audience Network) may receive limited identifiers and device data necessary to serve and measure the ad. We do not share your watch history, payment data, or account credentials with ad networks.
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
- Legal Obligations. We may share your information where required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DramaVibe, our users, or others.
- Other Users. When you submit comments, reviews, or other public contributions, that content (along with your display name and avatar) may be visible to other users of the Services.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) on our website to access or store information, remember your preferences, and measure performance. Within our mobile applications, we use mobile-device identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS and AAID on Android, subject to your tracking settings) for analytics, attribution, and rewarded-ad measurement.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. On iOS, you can use App Tracking Transparency to limit ad tracking; on Android, you can reset or limit your advertising ID in device settings. Disabling these may affect certain features (for example, rewarded ads may not be available, or attribution may be less accurate), but core viewing functionality will continue to work.
6. How do we handle your social logins?
Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details (like your Google or Apple accounts). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, and (where you allow it) profile picture.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information.
7. Is your information transferred internationally?
Our servers and most of our service providers are located in the United States and the European Union. If you are accessing our Services from outside those regions, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we may share your personal information.
If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, then these countries may not necessarily have data protection laws or other similar laws as comprehensive as those in your country. However, we will take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and applicable law, including, where appropriate, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long do we keep your information?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us, except for transaction records (which we retain as required by tax and consumer-protection laws), abuse-prevention records, and aggregated/anonymized analytics.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
9. How do we keep your information safe?
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. These include encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, hashed and salted password storage, access controls, audit logs, and regular review of our infrastructure. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.
10. What are your privacy rights?
In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure, (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information, (iv) if applicable, to data portability, and (v) not to be subject to automated decision-making. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information.
You can make such a request by emailing us at support@dramavibe.com. We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If you are located in the EEA or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your Member State data protection authority or UK data protection authority. If you are located in Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Withdrawing your consent. If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do so by emailing us using the contact details above or by updating your preferences in the app. This will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal.
Opting out of marketing communications. You can unsubscribe from our marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by adjusting your notification preferences in the app. We may still send service-related messages necessary for the administration of your account.
Account deletion. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. You can request deletion by emailing support@dramavibe.com. We may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms, or comply with applicable legal requirements.
11. Controls for do-not-track features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
12. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or any other US state with applicable consumer privacy laws, you may have additional rights, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information.

13. Children's privacy
DramaVibe is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at support@dramavibe.com, and we will take steps to remove that information and terminate the child's account.
Some series in our catalog carry mature themes (sexual themes, violence, strong language) and are gated to users aged 18 or older. Where required by local law (for example, in the Republic of Korea, which requires age verification for content rated 19+), you may be asked to complete an age-verification step before accessing such content. Where age-verification information is collected, it is processed solely to confirm your eligibility, retained only as long as required by applicable law (typically up to one year), and never shared with advertisers.
14. Do we make updates to this notice?
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
